Around the Wilder Kaiser there is a trail network of 148.1 kilometres in the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser–Brixental. In the core area of the four Kaiser villages Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll there are around 35 kilometres of beautifully groomed trail. And one detail worth knowing: every trail is set for both classic and skating — you decide according to the day.
Scheffau also has a floodlit night trail with snowmaking — lit until 9.30 pm, ideal for an evening lap after a day on the slopes. If you prefer to walk: 170 kilometres of prepared winter walking paths run through the region — some free, some in combination with the SkiWelt Winter Hiking Pass, which gives access to 13 panoramic cable cars.

Yes, the entrance to the Goinger Schwendterloipe is right by the farm. You clip on your skis at the door and you are straight onto a beautifully groomed track.

Yes. The gently rolling landscape of the Wilder Kaiser region suits beginners very well. Ski schools in the Kaiser villages run cross-country courses in both classic and skating. We are happy to help you book one.

The SkiWelt Winter Hiking Pass is a cable-car ticket made for winter walkers, not skiers. It is valid for 3 to 7 days and includes 2 ascents and 2 descents a day on 13 panoramic SkiWelt cable cars (KiWest excepted). That takes you comfortably up to the panoramic winter walking paths above 1,500 m, looking out over more than 70 three-thousand-metre peaks. Prices and booking: skiwelt.at.
