What makes us different
An active holiday starts in the farmyard.
You do not need to get in the car first. In winter the cross-country trail entrance is right by the farm, and the free KaiserJet ski bus stops 3 minutes away on foot. In summer the first walking paths begin right here — past our animals, out into the meadows at the foot of the Kaiser.
Going is the place where the Bergdoktor is at home — and one of the finest starting points for the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser–Brixental, one of the largest ski areas in the world, with 288 kilometres of pistes.

The Astberg valley station in Going is 3 minutes away on the free KaiserJet ski bus, or 8 minutes on foot. From the Astberg you step straight into Austria’s largest ski area — the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser–Brixental, with 288 kilometres of pistes and 90 lifts.
Absolutely. The Goinger Schwendterloipe starts less than 100 metres from the farm. Just clip on your skis at the door and set off on a perfectly groomed track.
Nothing. You get it from us at the farm when you arrive — free of charge. It gives you free travel on the KaiserJet (the bus to every lift and pool), guided walks, the family programme and reduced admission to local attractions.
Very. Within 5–20 minutes by car you reach five mountain adventure worlds — from the Hexenwasser in Söll with its water play, to Ellmis Zauberwelt with its giant slide, to the KaiserWelt in Scheffau with its climbing tower. Plus the Badesee Going (5 min.) for hot days.
Going is the main filming location for the ZDF series. From the farm you can walk to the most important sets: the Bergdoktor surgery on the village square, the Wilder Kaiser as the backdrop, the Schoberhüttl. The tourist board runs a guided Bergdoktor walk every week.
Yes — for 15 € per night. The walking trails around the house are dog-friendly; ski slopes of course are not, but the winter walking paths are.
Skiers: mid-December to early April (peak season in February). Walkers: May to October, with the clearest views in June and September. Families with small children: May/June (alpine meadows in bloom) and January (snowy, but quiet).
